Cohort Retention Chart

The cohort retention report shows how many customers in each cohort return and make a purchase each month.

Like the Average LTV by Cohort chart, the x-axis represents the age of each cohort in months since their first purchase. The first month--the month of acquisition--is excluded, and retention is reported starting in month 2 and onward.

By default, the y-axis will represent the percentage of customers from the cohort who returned each month, out of 100%. The toggle bar in the upper right can be used to plot absolute number of customers returning.

The cohort retention chart can help you visualize how cohort retention is changing over time, and whether tactics to bring customers back are working. As with all charts in Everhort, adding a filter to the report allows you to compare a certain segment of customers to the baseline:
